Computer won't start, does not get to the desktop anymore? Believe it or not 60% of computer failure is due to software issues.
This includes, infections from viruses and common power outage. Power outage cause computers to shut down prematurely; which causes fragmentation to drive's surface and affects the stored data.

A fragmented system file can cause a computer not to start properly or not to start at all. With frequency we have seen computers being caught in a loop along with a blue screen. The information contained within the blue screen is important to us; this information gives us clue when troubleshooting the computer.

About 80% of these Software issues can be corrected without affecting the setting of your computer. Here at our Laptop Laboratory we find ways to repair the computer without formatting the hard drive or reinstalling the Operating System.

Our engineers knows how to isolate software issues and proactively apply a fix for it. Depending on the severity of the damaged to the software, we will recommend the best option. In occasion, when the operating system gets corrupted and is beyond manual repair; there is no choice but to perform a full hard drive format and reinstall the Operating System again. Data must be backed up!

What is a full hard drive format?

  • Full hard drive format means a complete wipe out of the system
  • All Data will be erased
  • Operating system will be reinstalled (factory restore CDs or Operating System Custom Install)
  • Computer will be set back to factory Settings
  • You as user, will have to reinstall or reactivate all programs and applications.

What is Operating System Custom Install?

  • Hard drive will be formatted, all data will be erased
  • Operating System custom install, also known as clean install (Windows only with essential drivers and utilities no trial software)
  • Existing License will be reused unless migrating otherwise
  • You as user, will have to reinstall all programs and applications.

A full diagnostic is performed on to the hard drive before we attempt anything; the diagnostic result will define the next step. Failing hard drives are referred to the Data recovery labs on customer's approval when need to recover data.
